If you change your Windows password but have mapped drives from a non-domain machine your network drives may appear as unmapped (red X) after logging out or rebooting.
This is because Windows doesn't know about your password change and is attempting to use your old password. You can temporarily access a drive by double clicking on the disconnected drive icon and providing your new password at the prompt.
To permanently resolve the problem remove one of the network drives, then remap it. To remove the network drive select the drive to be removed and press the Del key.
