You will need to mount the software share from the SMB server samba.geosc.psu.edu.

 

  • Windows
    1. Click "Start", then "Run"
    2. Enter the string "\\samba.geosc.psu.edu\software"
    3. If prompted enter your Geosciences PC username and password (e.g., "GEOSC\tcanich", "secret")
  • Mac OS X
    1. From the "Finder" click "Go", then "Connect to server"
    2. Enter the URL smb://samba.geosc.psu.edu/software
    3. Click "Authenticate" and enter your Geosciences PC username and password
    4. Select the "software" share
  • Linux
    1. Open a terminal
    2. run smbclient //samba.geosc.psu.edu/software -U "GEOSC\USER" where "USER" is your Geosciences PC username and password.
    3. use the FTP-like interface to retrieve the files
