Locate the appropriate download for your computer as per the instructions in Matlab Software download. You will need to copy the files for your system from the server to a temporary location on your computer. These files will be removed after installation. Be sure to also copy "license.dat" and "PLP.txt". Windows users should use "license-win.dat" instead of "license.dat".
Execute the installer:
Windows: Installer.exe
Macintosh: InstallerForMacOSX.app
**Linux: ./install or ./boot.ftp
When prompted, provide the location of the license file (license.dat or license_win.dat) on your computer.
When the installation completes you may remove all of the files you copied from the server including PLP.txt and license.dat.
**For Linux installs:
Extract the bzip file using the following command: tar -xjvf <Name of Matlab file>
Once extracted - untar boot.ftp using the following command: tar -xvf <Name of Matlab file>
Run the ./install file
