News 4-6-2009 Update April 6th: Current officer nomines for the April 20th election!! President: Jesse R., Sarah B., VP: Jesse R., Pat D., Mike J. Upcoming Events April 6th -Dr. Bice will be giving us a short overview of the courses and curriculum in the geosciences department as well as answer any questions anyone may have about courses for next semester or at any point in the future. We will also have many upperclassmen available to answer questions as well. We highly recommend all underclassmen come to this meeting to find out more about the curriculum. April 17th - We are going to have another social on Friday, April 17th. Stay tuned for further details about the time and place… April 20th -We will hold elections for officers for next year on April 20th. If you would like to nominate someone or express interest in a position, email Zack at zak5003@psu.edu. Please email the nominations as soon as possible so we can get a list together. Here are the positions available: April 27th - We will hold our final meeting at Whipple Dam which will include a barbecue, frisbee, volleyball, and tons of other fun stuff for everyone to do. That being said, we need drivers to get people there and back. If you can drive and plan on going, please email Pat at prd5012@psu.edu or jer5064@psu.edu as soon as possible so we can start to get a head count on drivers. Cost $5.00 per person. April 29th or April 30th - We are planning on having a Geosciences Club Bar Tour for those of you who are over 21. If you have any suggestions or designs for t-shirts, we would love to hear them.
