GEOSCIENCES GRADUATE PROGRAM

Apply by Dec. 15, 2009 to be included in the Admissions Committee's first review for the Fall 2010 semester. Applications received after Dec 15 will continue to be reviewed until available slots are filled.

All other items, below, should be emailed or mailed directly to the Geoscience Graduate Program office.
  1. Two official transcripts
  2. Three letters of recommendation: link to evaluation form
  3. GRE scores are required. Reporting: Penn State Code 2660; Dept 0504

We strongly recommend that international students first complete a Preliminary Application to determine if there is a Geosciences faculty member who will sponsor the student.


What to Send to the Geosciences Department:

  • Official transcripts of all post-secondary institutions you have attended. Transcripts/records must be in the official language of the institution(s) attended, but if that language is not English you must also send an official English translation.
  • Any other program specific requirements (e.g., GRE and TOEFL test scores, letters of recommendation).
  • Application for Visa Document (international applicants only).
