As a result of the great number of applications our department receives from international applicants each year, competition for available graduate research assistantships has greatly increased. Therefore, we request that all international applicants interested in applying fill out a preliminary application. This preliminary application is designed to help the graduate committee determine whether your interests and abilities match those required by the department for research assistantships. This does not replace the formal application procedures; rather, it serves as a pre-screening measure, implemented as a cost-savings measure to both applicants and to our program.

If your credentials demonstrate high proficiency in the English language (TOEFL > 650 and verbal GRE > 480; citizenship in an English speaking country), please submit the formal application.
