Travel Options
Traveling By Air
The University Park Airport (SCE) is located approximately 5.5 miles from campus and is equally as close driving distance to various hotels and motels in the area. Rental Car Agencies are also available at the airport and can be found on the airport's web page.
The Harrisburg International Airport is also located a little under 2 hours driving distance from State College. Visit the site for available flights and rental car services available.
Traveling by Train
The Harrisburg Train Station is located approximately 2 hours from State College and is serviced by Amtrak. Seven trains arrive from Philadelphia every business day, 5 of which originate in New York City and travel through Philadelphia. The average travel time by train from Penn Station in NYC to Harrisburg is approximately 3.5 hours. From 30th Street Station in Philadelphia to Harrisburg is approximately 2 hours.
Traveling by Bus
State College has two major bus lines running to and from the town: Fullington Auto Bus Company and Greyhound Bus Lines. The bus station is located directly on Atherton Street, across the street from the campus.
