Industry Recruiting

The Department of Geosciences works with employers to collect resumes, transcripts, schedule information sessions and individual interviews. We can also set up lunches and/or dinners with faculty members, if they are available.

Speaking with undergraduate student groups is also a good way to promote your company. You may want to consider contacting our GeoClub, an undergraduate student organization, about speaking to them at a group meeting during your visit with us. We will be glad to help facilitate the initial contact.

How to Participate in Geosciences Recruiting

If you are a student:

1. Submit the following to the Geosciences Recruiting Coordinator anytime from now until September 5, 2013.
   • Resume
   • Unofficial Graduate AND Undergraduate Transcripts
   • Degree/Interest Area
2. Attend our departmental information session on Wednesday, August 28, at 5:30 pm in 341 Deike. At this session, you can hear how to sign up for interviews and possibly sign up for some interviews with recruiters who will be on campus during September-November. Pizza will be provided at the session.
3. Some companies may require you to complete an application prior to your interview. You will be instructed if you need to complete an application.
