The MPC is a weekend symposium held in the spring and  hosted by a different institution each year. This meeting emphasizes student participation in a relaxed and informal setting, including scientific presentations, receptions and a banquet, a field trip, and lots of personal interactions.  MPC is hosted this year by the Penn State Department of Geosciences.

Program:
Friday evening 6:00 PM: Reception at the Earth and Mineral Sciences Museum, Deike Building
Saturday beginning at 8:30 AM: Plenary lecture, papers, posters, banquet.
Sunday (leaving Atherton Hotel at 7:45 AM): Excursion to Arboretum at Penn State followed by a field trip to the world-class Red Hill fossil site with Dr. Walter Cressler, West Chester University. Return to campus from Red Hill approximately 3:30.
