C.H.A.O.S. Ruin
The Coldigioco Hill Astronomical Observatory Station (C.H.A.O.S.) was built in this ruin (dark doorway, no roof). It now houses a Mead LX200 telescope and computer control system used for studying the morphology of lunar impact craters, the planets, and beyond. The grassy area in front of the ruin is now a piazza dedicated to local stonemasons (Chiaraluce and Mosconi) who were instrumental in reconstructing many of the buildings. |
