An active oil rig.

Penn State Geosciences students are highly recruited, and recruiters find many opportunities to connect with our students for full-time and internship opportunities.

To facilitate professional placement, the Department of Geosciences welcome companies to visit our department for information sessions and interviews leading to internships or full-time positions for our students. We use the eCareer online scheduling system to manage industry recruiting in the department. We can also set up lunches and/or dinners with faculty members, if they are available.

Speaking with undergraduate student groups is also a good way to promote your company. You may want to consider contacting our GeoClub, an undergraduate student organization, about speaking to them at a group meeting during your visit with us. We will be glad to help facilitate the initial contact.

How to Participate in Geosciences Recruiting

We partner with the University in using the Nittany Lion Careers online scheduling system to organize and arrange our recruiting visits.
